Over the years Patek Philippe watches have been worn by a number of high profile and notable individuals including royalty, movie stars, and business tycoons. They are notable for manufacturing their own components needed for manufacturing the watches. The most expensive and complicated watch with 24 functions was produced by Patek Philippe which was produced in 1933 and auctioned at Sotheby's in December, 1999 for USD$11,000,000.
Patek Philippe is the last surviving independent watch manufacturer in Geneva, a legacy reflected in the 160 years of old tradition of excellence.
